Tufwrap was requested to complete a project at the Australian National Maritime Museum. We were asked to wrap the top area/deck of one of their vessels. The vessel is named the Tu Do which means ‘Freedom’. It arrived in Darwin in 1977 with 31 Vietnamese refugees onboard. These were the first ‘boat people’. Tu Do was acquired by the museum in 1990.

The vessel was required to be dried out for 12-18 mths before it goes into the museum on display. The deck includes a wheelhouse that also needed to be encapsulated within the enclosure.

Our team travelled to Sydney to conduct the works, ensuring precision and quality throughout the process.

This is one of just a number of exciting projects Tufwrap is involved in.
